Moné Holder is the Senior Director of Advocacy & Programs at Florida Rising. Moné has led the organization in the fight for voting rights and social justice on the local, state, and national levels and develops strategies to build political power amongst marginalized communities in the state. Moné has advocated for voting and human rights internationally including at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. She has over a decade of policy experience stemming from her work in the Florida House of Representatives Democratic office, and as a Florida House and Senate staffer.
Moné graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida A&M University. Ms. Holder has served on many Boards and committees. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for READ, USA. Moné also currently serves as an at-large Commissioner on the City of Jacksonville Planning Commission.
Moné is a Leadership Jacksonville Alumni (Class of 2023). She is a member of the Jacksonville Chapter of Jack & Jill of America Inc., where she serves as the Legislative Chair. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Moné has lent her voice to international, state, and local media outlets including the New York Times, Marie Claire Magazine, The Economist, Newsweek, The Guardian, Miami Herald, Florida Politics, The Florida-Times Union, and many others.
