Organizations are advancing racial justice and equity and building political power in their communities. Yet too often philanthropic measures and assessments focus at the organizational level and not at an ecosystem level to understand how power is growing for our communities. Inatai Foundation will share about their current efforts to co-design measures of power with organizations who are moving power-building agendas. You will hear from a leader of one of these organizations, Comunidades, a rural organizing group that in a few short years has become a force in their community. You will hear how organizations are analyzing the political context and conditions of their communities (rural, midsize cities and urban centers) and what we are learning organizers say is most salient to measure over time so funders can best support power-building efforts.
