Kristin Powell is the incoming Principal of Black Futures Lab and Black to the Future Action Fund, where she leads political and organizational strategy. Kristin is a long-term freedom fighter with over 15 years of community organizing experience. Her track record demonstrates her ability to cast vision and train and develop community members and staff to organize campaigns that build power in Black communities. Before coming to Black Futures Lab in 2021 she was a local Executive Director and faith-based organizer at ICARE in Jacksonville, FL, and then a National Training Director with the Dart Center.
