Jose Vasquez is the Executive Director of Common Defense, the nation's largest grassroots veterans organization. We organize veterans and engage the larger military community to transform our society by advocating for common sense policies, and working to foster an inclusive democracy where liberty and justice truly exist for all. Jose served for fifteen years in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in May 2007. He has experience in higher education, research, nonprofit management, organizing, and philanthropy. Jose lives in New York City.
