Jack Temple joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in 2022 bringing more than a decade of experience in policy, advocacy, and organizing. In his role as policy officer, he supports cross-cutting programming at the intersection of government, race, power, and health.

Prior to RWJF, Jack was a senior vice president at BerlinRosen, a public affairs consulting firm where he advised a diverse range of foundations, labor unions, and advocacy organizations. In this role he served as a senior strategist for high-profile grassroots organizing campaigns including the Fight for $15 and a Union, which has secured historic pay raises for millions of working people nationwide.

Previously, Jack was a policy analyst at the National Employment Law Project, where he provided strategic counsel and technical assistance to campaigns working to raise the minimum wage in dozens of states and cities. Jack also authored influential research on the low-wage labor market, which has been cited in outlets ranging from the New York Times to The Daily Show. He has also appeared on MSNBC, CNN, and NPR to provide expert commentary on labor market and job quality issues.

Jack holds an M.A. in Social Science from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. He is a proud board member of the National Employment Law Project Action Fund.

Born in suburban Detroit, Jack now lives with his family in Brooklyn, New York. He enjoys traveling, long-distance running, and cooking for his family.
