Garcia was born and raised in Arizona by parents from El Salvador and Mexico. He is a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. Currently, Brian works at All Voting is Local where he manages special projects around democracy defense, election legal issues, and pro-voter advocacy.
Prior to joining All Voting is Local, Garcia worked as a Staff Attorney for the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, where he represented unaccompanied children. He has also worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, and the Arizona Secretary of State.
Garcia served on the Tempe Union High School District Governing Board as president and vice president, where they represented 12,000+ students, 1,300+ staff, and 160,000+ residents.
Garcia holds a Bachelor’s in Global Studies, a Master of Legal Studies, and a Juris Doctor from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
In his spare time, Garcia enjoys vocal jazz, triathlons, cooking, and sharing Arizona fun facts.
