As Senior Director of Policy for UnidosUS, the nation's largest Latino-led civil rights organization, I direct our policy efforts on tech accountability, voting rights and democracy, economic justice and legal and constitutional rights in the courts. For 23 years, I have worked on and in democratic governance, navigating its promises and pitfalls, and am an expert in regulatory and constitutional matters and choices around a wide range of consumer and civil rights issues. I enjoy issue campaigning and advocating for civil rights and civil justice, non-profit management and strategy, thought leadership, and fundraising. I have a passion for working towards meaningful solutions that advance equity, are driven by social justice and an expansive view of human possibilities, build democratic infrastructure, and encourage innovation while assuring safety, equity, inclusiveness, and transparency.
